I hav a small unwritten law...I do not help my children with their school projects. One...I am not the most “craftiest“ guy you ever met. I cannot draw, sew or or glue in a straight line. Two......I am probably wrong., but I like my boys to think things through and prodcuce projects done to the best of their ability.
Well, two things happen because of this. First....my kids school projects tend to look like a 10 year old did them. (whichs their age) Second., because I have the privilege of meeting on Sundays in my childrens school, I get to see the display case of that “quarters” projects. Bah! What is in the display case? Projects done by children's parents. Always absent are my children's projects. So....am I supposed to do my children's project?
Actually....Andrews last project I did....it came out great....it was an aqurarium diaramha(spelling) . Guess what....he got an O. (that is outstanding here in good ol Toms River Schools) It really was my test to see if the teacher could tell who did the project...and of course....there was no hint that she could. So....I get a little mad when project time rolls around. I know....that my childs grade does not necessarily depend on if he did the project or not. It depends on how high powereed and good it looks.
Congratulaions all you thirty year old parents! You can still pass the 4th grade at your age with Straight A's! Amazing!
Hehe...can you tell Andrew just had a project that I let him put together himself...and it was greatly flawed...even after my consultation. ( He forgot to include what Amelia Earhart was famous ...for dying!) But...I still let him do it himself. Uneven cuts, bad colors, uneven taping. But he did it....and to me...he gets an A (yes....my ol' grading system) in my book.
