The Pre-teen Middle High Youth group, Rising Stars, will be having our picnic tomorrow. It should be quite interesting. The picnics are always great fun. But, they are as much fun as you allow yourself to have. So....that means we must participate.
Last year....at the Sr. High Youth group..I got to sit in Robbies new VW bus. That was cool.........and the bus is since deceased.... :( The games would have been better if everyone participated. So...my goal this year is encouarage participation. A nudge or two here or there. It is a great thing to have fun in the presence of the Lord. He delights in you. Imagine the blessing he receives when you are delighted....and having fun.
I think I am going to pull out an old game I have never done at Sonrise. It is called....Uncle Traveling Matt's Win.....or look stupid. It is very simple.....You play a song up until a certain point....and you stop...and it is up to the contestant...to sing the nexe line of the song. It can be great fun...particularly when you line the contestant up with an appropriate song.
The Picnic is tomorrow. Please pray for good weather! For Saturday and Sunday too! My brother's wedding on Saturday.....and Robert Meyer's graduation party on Sunday.
