My Church

My favorite time of the year..

This is my favorite time of the year.  Here in Jersey....it is just warm enough to wear a light jacket and just cool enough to always feel refreshed.

I am up this morning preparing for Church.  It will soon be time to wake the boys.  They know the drill on Sunday morning.  We go to set up the church.  Sonrise meets in the cafeteria of Citta Elementary.  We try to arrive around 8 am set up the sign and proceed to set up the church.  God has provided abundant help to do this task.  I am so very blessed to be working with such gracious servants. Anyone that participates in this ministry knows what is sacrificed, but also knows the spiritual rewards God provides for being faithful.

Over the 4 yrs I have been doing this..we have changed the look of our many times.  We use less ambient light....it helps people to escape the thought they are in a cafeteria. Upon entering the “sanctuary” people should feel they are entering holy grounds.  Well, that is our goal...we have changed seating lighting and have really worked at setting up a holy atmosphere that would be pleasing to God.  God never fails to be present.  Sometimes we fail in our “Sunday Service”.  Trust me...as a first hand observer...Sunday mornings contain a barrage of attacks from the Evil One.  Satan times his beach front assaults for Sunday Morning.  I personally have been shelled.  Distracted with fear and anxiety...I hold fast to God. I know what is going on...and I know...there is Victory to be found in God.  Glory available to be given to him...   Because...on Sunday Morning...as we are being attacked,(bad moods, failing equipment, rain, obedience of children, etc.) I know that when we turn to God...he salvos back..with ten times the firepower...and turns the beach front assault back to where they were coming.

How many of you have experienced this?  I have seen the most disastrous Sundays turn into incredible services with extreme blessing from God.

Well...I came here to write about upcoming daylight savings.  My favorite time of the year...I gain that one extra hour...I am spoiled by time...given enough sleep....  I am looking forward to that day.  But the Lord led me astray thinking about his blessings that come....

Peace
