Yes.
I found myself on the difficult end of losing last night. I lost right alongside the Yankees. It was pretty disheartening thing to watch.
The New York Yankees, You either love them or hate them. I don't have a clue when I learned to love them. Did I jump on the bandwagon? I more or less started watching them in 1995. To that point I had really given up on baseball. Then New York Mets were my team...but they traded away Lenny Dykstra....and then there was the baseball strike in 1994....so I seriously began watching again in 1995. A young phenom named Bernie Williams had been brought up...and he was great to watch. You knew he had great potential. I enjoyed watching Williams and all of the great plays he would make...and all of the terrific hits he would have...
Williams has lost a few steps...but he is still my favorite Yankee. Alas they lost. So goes my sad heart...but worse...Boston overcame their deficit and overcame what was deemed impossible.
Who do I want to win the World Series? The National League team that plays Boston. :)
