My Church

Sunday, Nov 20, 2004

I had a great day yesterday.  It started with writing a letter to my frind http://www.brain-waves.blogspot.com

I prayed.

Took a shower, and prayed.  God said to me US Marine Corp.

I announce this to Nick, he instantly gets excited.  He has a goal, and we have 18 months to get him where he needs to be to step out of a high school graduation line and onto a bus heading to Paris Island.(Pray for this one all.  God spoke to my heart...so I have faith it is the solution I have been looking for.  Right now...Nick would go outside and run 100 miles if we asked.)

Then I went to church for set up.  Nick was with me being quite the servant.

Went home, picked up Andrew his friend Jason.  Did the Mickey D's breakfast.

Ran back to church and prayed with the worship team.  That was awesome.

Coordinated the servers and communion leader.  Always a fun task. :)

Prepared people to rake leaves to minister to our worship leader and his wife that had surgery.

In the middle of worship I was obedient to God...and went to the front...or the middle of our church...to point out that the cross was in the center of the room.  No matter where you are in the room, the cross is still in the center.  Unbeknown to me the next song start “Jesus your the Center”.  Doh! almost fell flat on my face with that one.  Lesson:be obedient when you are given a word to share.

Heard a great message on Acts 4:1-22.  Experiencing things people will do to you while you are being a Christian. I would love to share the essentials of this message...but I am still chewing them.

Raked Leaves at the Husnis.  7 men. It was great.  Nick was sliding back into being Nick...but he never went very deep.  He remained helpful the whole time.  There were a lot of leaves, but I knew that...before we got there.

Wow...way too long this day seems.

Blessed with friendships from Mark Husni, Rich Borzone and Mike Hrehovcik.  Tony Marano didn't show up, he gets a bye, he is approaching 70 and probably forgot as soon as he left church.(prayerfully i hope all is OK with tony)

Left Husnis leaves...80 percent done.  Went to Mikes...prayed for Nick.

Came home cooked dinner...sausages, mashed potatoes, brown gravy and a Parmesan salad.  It was GOOD!

Wrapped my nieces Raggedy Ann Doll...took the boys over to my Mom's and we celebrated Katana's 1sth birthday.  It was a gem of an evening.

Well....it was a great day.  Other things happened...I had to meet with the elders regarding an issue and it all worked out.  At least to the degree that satisfies the Elders.

Peace and Love All.
