A Gut Response

I did not mean to.  I really did not mean to.  But I started a small political war.

It started here.  Real Live Preacher. Read the comments section.

It resulted in this.  Real Live Preacher 2

I didn't mean to start a political discussion I just did. I was feeling  pain, hurt and frustration for the people on the shores of Asia. I commented on that.  My initial response was to pray.

We are at the tip of the Ice Berg of the Aid that is needed in this area.  The number of dead are now well over 110 thousand.  Still climbing.

If you want to find some ways you can help....or read an interesting blog...go here.  Bene Diction. He also comments on the Political War at RLP.

At a time like this my pent up political feelings should be second.  I didn't mean to start a political war. I responded purely to George Bush and America.  Perhaps I was thinking that the Tsunami was going to be turned into America's problem and it should...as it should be the whole world's problem.

Here is how I feel America should respond.  There is a difference between leading and assisting.  The United States can provide the most assistance in Asia right now...it does not necessarily need to lead. My first Pastor, my first mentor, once said to me, great men find ways to lead from the back of the church. (of course without being subversive or undermining!)

Peace to All
