This is a blog game. I found it on Fish’s site.
Here's how it works:
I answer the questions from my 'interview' here. Fish gave me the questions. Then if you want to play you do this:
1. The first five commenter to type INTERVIEW ME in the comments.
2. I will respond by asking you five questions (not the same as you see here).
3. You will update your blog/site with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
OK.. Here are the answers and questions from My Interview.
Fish asked me:
Mr. J: (Matt)
1.How is your life different than what you envisioned it being as a child?
Interestingly enough when I was young I was influenced by “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father”. No Joke. But at a young age, I thought I would become a lawyer, buy a jeep, and adopt a boy and live happily ever after with a maid that would take care of us. I think at such a young age a relationship with a woman was not even a thought. In fact today it scares me even more…and I have three boys.
2. Did you have a special toy as a child that you couldn't bear to part with?
No. I had no attachment to toys. They were okay to have but I could make up games inside my head. Sometimes….I would make up my own invisible friends. I was always very comfortable with little “material” wealth…which included toys.
3. If you could meet and have lunch with any musician past or present who would it be and what would you talk about? Phil Collins. I love Phil Collins. I have always loved his music. If we were to sit down together I would probably probe his life. That is what I like to do with people. Find out about them. Everyone has a story, everyone has a book to be written about them. I think Phil would be fascinating and funny.
4. Name one city you'd like to see. What draws you there? Juneau, Alaska. I really do hope to get to Alaska one day. Every single picture I have ever seen of Alaska is absolutely breathtaking. The colors are so vibrant, clear and clean. It has always appeared to me that Alaska is the cleanest place on Earth. Perhaps it just has a great PR person. J
5.If you were to write a book would it be fiction or nonfiction and what would the subject matter be? It would be nonfiction and it would be a book about my son Nicholas. He has an extraordinary story. It is not your usual story of triumph, it is a story so unusual I am at a lost of words how to describe it right now. Currently it ends on a note has Nick away from home but I am praying for further miracles that I will be able to include upon finishing this book. I am not in a rush; there is no time table or deadline. I just want it to be accurate and worthy for Nicholas. Nicholas’ story is worthy of a movie. Cuba Gooding Jr., there is another Oscar waiting.
