It is quite funny. Vince,(who is writing regularly again) is a buddy of mine and I shared with him about me being pulled over regularly in Lakehurst, NJ. Every time over the last ten years that I have been pulled over it has been in Lakehurst.
Lakehurst is small town that sits on the end of Rt. 70 and you basically are traveling 60 mph and it goes to 35 mph in the snap of a finger. So...two times I have resulted in tickets for barely breaking the speeding limit. The other 3 times including last night, I was pulled over, because it appeared I was driving on the shoulder, which I may have. I was really tired and I told the Officer I was coming home from prayer meeting from down at King of Kings where I went to see my friend Christina speak. Incidentally he asked me if I had any points on my license, and I told him I wasn't sure if my brother had put any recently on it....( I have a brother that regularly steals my clean identity and soils it.) The officer checked....and I am still clean...no points! Woo Hoo! He released me....told me I am close to home and to drive safely...and get some sleep. I do not mind being pulled over. If I break the law, then I deserve the consequences and I do not mind the Authority of the Police. I have always found them more helpful than people portray them to be... I think Police Officers get a bum deal for what they have to do.
Hey...just a Story from the Past. I was looking through my Archives and Noticed Cute Old People has the largest number of hits here on my site. I have no clue who showed up here and wrote this piece either. Must have been the Holy Spirit because even I enjoyed it when I read it. So give it a whirl or a re-whirl folks.
Peace to you all.
