Yesterday had me on the couch all day. Sue came over and made dinner, spaghetti and meatballs, and that was a huge treat. My appetite is cut down by two thirds. One of the nice things is I have lost 56 lbs since Christmas. However, I don't recommend my diet. I think my blood pressure medication still needs adjusting. I am trying to stay away from as much salt as I can but my number's are still 140/100. The bottom number apparantly is the bad one and causing my my problems.
On a side note I prayed last night because I have a meeting today for Nick up at Brisbane that I will be attending alone. That means driving... Which I am doing very sparingly. But I feel pretty good right now. Today is Andrew's Birthday. He turns 12. Feels like he was just born.
For almost 8 years Andrew slept along side of me. He was my teddy bear. A year or two ago I sent him fighting unwillingly to his own bed. He has been all right as long as he has his blanky. A blanket that stayed with my wife during her illness. Somehow Andrew inherited it and it has been his lifelong companion. He used it as his blanket when he played Linus when we did a Charlie Brown's Christmas. He did a great job in that play, particularly when he recited I believe it is Luke Chapter 2.
Continue to pray. Your prayers are being answered. Thank you all for your notes and visits. I hope to be blogging regularly again.
