Once a year for a week we leave for paradise. Camp Spofford. I am really looking forward to this trip. It is a singles retreat, and of course this will be my last year of being single. Ironically, Sue was going on this trip way before we ever even thought of courting one another. God is Good, Always.
This retreat is pretty tight. That is a good thing. Any hanky panky, and they will ask you to leave. This is OK with my, I really want our relationship to glorify God so being under a microscope doesn't bother me. It will be nice to be with Sue, Bill and Christine, and my buddy Pat Sharkey and his wife Patty. He is the Senior Pastor of King of Kings in Manahawkin.
Nick is not going. :( Last year he had one of his famous melt downs at camp and it really was the starting point for finding him the help that he needs. I keep in touch with him via the phone, so it will be like he is there.
Well, there are web connections at book stores and coffee shops so I really hope to write from Spofford. I am still praying for all those that come here. May God edify you in some way. Follow my stories. I think I am going to send the Old People story to Reader's Digest. I am going to pray over it. I love you all.
Peace.
