"The Fort" No More...

Laugh. For years my home was nicknamed “The Fort”. I guess it will not take a rocket scientist to figure out why...  A house full of men...lead by one that never really grew up...(me) and you got “The Fort”.

My sister Ann affectionately called it “Fort Jacopec”. We had fun.  We were men.  We walked around in our underwear. Made manly noises. Never closed the bathroom doors or any kitchen cabinets. We watched war movies regularly and hung sports posters up as decor. I did for some time have a newspaper clipping of Billy Graham hung up from his retirement when he was in New York City and I considered this culture.

Well...those days are fleeting if not gone.  My bathroom matches. There are now towels in there that match that I am not allowed to use...(Purple...and my traitor son Andrew chose the color!) And..this weekend I have to take up the toilet so we can clean out the odor...that Sue claims exists.

Everything in my kitchen matches.  Black and red.  My canning jar glasses have been put out to pasture and we now have real 12oz and 8oz glasses.  I do have a cool coffee pot that I wanted...so I cannot complain.  The 13 year old garbage can is gone and replaced with a new updated model.  It is red...and cool.  Matches the rest of the kitchen...

Do you get the picture....

Woman....match things.  I guess that is what was missing from my life.  There is an added bonus.  Sue is a great organizer and has done a great job in the cabinets.

I guess I can start getting used to this matching stuff.  We do not have a lot of room for junk...so anything we have we must use.  No collectibles or Nick nacs.

I have several shelves to put up.  Frames to fill..and computers to fix. It seems all of the computers went bonkers at the same time.  I believe it is something from MYSPACE that my brother brought with him when he used my computers to visit his sites.

Well...Married life is great.  Pictures to come soon.  Peace.

Pretty much nothing exciting going on. I can't be bothered with anything recently. Pfft. I feel like a fog. I just don't have much to say these days.

Pretty much nothing seems worth thinking about, but so it goes. Pretty much not much noteworthy going on worth mentioning. I've just been staying at home waiting for something to happen.
