Here is something you do not know....for around two years my boys have mowed lawns. They began mowing our very good friend Mike H's lawn and have picked up several others since. They really have come a long way. Crooked lines and missed spots have really changed. There is a lot less of each including my instruction. Unfortunately, sometimes it is just easier to do it, than be patient and allow them to learn. But I love to mow grass, and poor mowing skills drive me bonkers.
Well....they have come a long way. Recently, their friend Ian has begun to help. Ian is a great kid. A friend that everyone prays inot their childrens life. He is congenial. Actually, Ian is the definition of congenial. He is happy, pleasant, and considerate. He also has a sense of humor that makes him also goofy. Goofy in a congenial way. Not clumsy or dumb, just goofy. With a great smile and lots of laughter. He will laugh at anything and do just about anything for a laugh. Particularly if it is goofy.
Well, right now, I looked out my window and Ian is mowing the neighbor's lawn with Andrew. It is pretty hot and I hope each of them do not cut one another's foot off. I saw them pass each other, each with a mower.... The alarm bells went off inside my head. But..as I finish this paragraph, they are packing away.... No goofiness, and no lost feet. Phewwww....
