Our Greatest Fear

  Our Greatest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure

around you.

We are born to manifest the glory fo God within us.

It is not just in some of us;it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others.

---Marianne Williamson

Been chewing on this and digesting.  Have heard it and seen it in several places including the movie Coach Carter with Samuel Jackson.  It provokes me in several ways.  What do you think?

# re: Our Greatest Fear

The last few lines ring the most true in my own life.
Fear has been my constant companion for so long.
It's getting less of a grip these days.
Still has a grip, though.
It is a scary thought
to rise to my potential.
I often would rather
take an easier, softer way.
