Be Our Guest at SonRise Community Church

What to Expect on a Sunday Morning

The first thing you will notice when you visit SonRise is the "come as you are" atmosphere. Most people dress casually and the environment is warm and friendly.

The morning is comprised of three main parts. First we gather for worship through songs of praise. This part of our worship service is lead by guitars, keyboard, and singers and uses mostly contemporary praise and worship music. During this time you will see a variety of expressions of worship, you may hear people voicing their praise through scripture readings or spontenous prayer. An opportunity is almost always given during this time for people to receive prayer for healing of their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

After this part of our worship we move to a time of sharing communinion around the Lord's Table. This time is lead by one of the elders or leaders of our church. Everyone who has confessed Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is welcome to share the bread and cup with us.

The final part of our worship is a message from the Bible, usually delivered by Pastor Bill Meyer or one of the other leaders of the church. We believe the Bible is God's holy and perfect love letter to us. At SonRise you will hear messages right out of the Bible that make the meaning clear and enable you to see how God's message applies to even the most simple things of our lives.

After our worship service, there is a time of getting to know each other and sharing in each other's lives with a cup of coffee and some delicious goodies. Several times a year we have a luncheon after our worship service which you are always welcome to attend.

Children & Youth

There are children's ministry workers available to care for your infants during the entire worship service. Older children and youth through high-school remain in the service for the musical worship time. After this portion of the service the children and students are dismissed to go to their own classes. High school students stay for the entire service every other week.
